Lakme Fashion Week Fall Winter 2009 was held from 27 to March 31, 2009 Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. Manish Malhotra needs no introduction. His areas of creativity and genius span the broad spheres of Bollywood design, style, prĂȘt, diffusion and eternal bride couture, Manish is a pioneer in the field of fashion in the country today. For the first time, Lux and Manish Malhotra are joining the Lakme Fashion Week meeting, taking its brand promise of "playing with beauty 'forward.' Manish Malhotra will be presenting a show especially for haute couture Lux.
Attitude, attractive, beauty, looks, sensuality, refinement etc. are all different characteristics of each woman and that's what has to do with Lux. Manish Malhotra, no doubt, play with these same attributes in their program of Lux! Peaches, strawberries, ivory, pink are the flavor of the season.

For the first time, Lux participated in the Lakme Fashion Week, in association with Manish Malhotra - Bollywood's favorite designer, as noted with the set of stars that lit up the show!
From Padmalaxmi, Deepika Padukone, Kitu Gidwani, Kajol, Urmila Matondkar and Saif in fashion and Kareena final participants, the first row was a sight to see!
For this spectacular show Manish has created a seductive confidence and sensuality awake nervous temptation. Feminine colors of pink, peach, leather, coral, oysters and ivory with touches of gold and silver were direct translations of the two new variants of Lux soap, strawberries and cream and peach and cream.
Ritu Kumar is one of the most important designers of India, who have developed a unique style of their own, reflecting the ancient traditions of craftsmanship in a contemporary India. Against a background of art history and musicology, which has enriched her horizons, Ritu Kumar's understanding of ancient designs and innovative use of traditional crafts has created a new classicism. Ritu holds the status of a resurgence in the Indian fashion industry, which has managed to bridge the gap between traditionalism and modernity.
Ritu, who began his work with four hand block printers and two tables in a small village near Calcutta thirty years ago, was the first woman to introduce the 'boutique' culture in India under the name 'Ritu'. Today has twelve outlets in major cities of India. Ritu Kumar's boutiques feature a multifaceted show covers the best of design in India, with a specially produced range of clothing and accessories of high silk, leather and cotton.
